childhood unplugged

2017, childhood unplugged, us

She has been asking to spend some time just her and I, to take a “girls day”.  So we snuck away for just a little bit the other afternoon.  I think she was thinking more along the lines of shopping and lunch, maybe a movie, but with the little time we had we went to get another look at these wildflowers before the summers heat sets in and they are all gone.  And as we were walking back to the car she was sure to remind me that she still wanted our “girls day” to happen.
